Homeschool rookie

Kurt started school this year, and after holding him back a year and looking into homeschool options and talking to other moms that homeschool, i decided i needed to give this a whirl otherwise i may always wonder if i should have. So we joined a homeschool tutorial classical conversations. We went to this group every friday and the boys were both able to be in a class room setting with other kids their age. It was great, and such a wonderful experience for all of us.
Now before i lead you to believe that homeschooling is easy and anyone can do it, let me say, that is not the case at all!!! it is hard, it is not all fun and games, there were days (most days probably) i often thought what am i doing, i could send him to school and not have any of this pressure or whining....but then we would have a good day and everything i had taught him seemed to be clicking and thats what has kept me going. it is so fun when you see all your hard work pay off. This past year has been a hard year for us to base if we liked it off of, we had a very tough year with sickness in our family. Finding our routine, schedule was impossible, we had many days we couldnt thing of anything but "papa" and if he was gonna be ok. So we will try again this year just to get a true idea of if this is for us or not. With all that said i am very glad we decided to go the route of homeschool this past year because of the very reasons i mentioned above.
I will need much guidance and encouragement this next year as i try to do 1st grade with Kurt and ease Gunner Luke into a routine himself, i'm not so worried about Kurt as Gunner. Gunner is my kid that test my patience on a daily basis. He is always pushing his luck. He is one of the most stubborn kids i know. He is fearless. He is funny. When he is sweet , he is so sweet you dont care what is going on around you because he is so sweet and loving. He adores his baby sister. He is athletic, he is mostly a good boy but as i said earlier he and i go round and round. Prayers are much appreciated!
